The Aspetar World Conference on Sports Medicine 2025 concluded in Doha, after being held at Aspire Zone from 9 to 11 October 2025, with the participation of more than 1,000 professionals from around 70 countries and a distinguished lineup of international experts and speakers.
This inaugural event, organized by Aspetar, aimed to highlight the latest advancements in sports medicine and performance sciences, while strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange between leading local and international institutions.
A Rich Scientific Program
The three-day conference featured a comprehensive scientific agenda structured around four main themes: sports injuries, medical conditions in sports, sports science and performance, and sports pharmacy, nursing, and dentistry.
It included specialized sessions and hands-on workshops covering the latest methods in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, as well as advanced discussions on performance monitoring technologies, injury prevention strategies, and addressing athletes’ needs in various environments.

The strong international presence reflected Aspetar’s status as a leading global reference center in sports medicine, and Qatar’s growing role as a hub for expertise exchange in this vital field.
The Conference Future Plans
The conference concluded with wide praise from participants for its exceptional scientific content and professional organization. Organizers announced that the second edition will take place in 2027, coinciding with Aspetar’s 20th anniversary, alongside a specialized Sports Rehabilitation Conference planned for 2026, further reinforcing Aspetar’s leadership in innovation and excellence.
At the closing of the conference, Khalid Ali Al-Mawlawi, Acting Director General of Aspetar, stated:
