Governing Documents

AZF operations are run by administrative and legal documents, organizational practices, and national policies and strategies.

Emiri Decree of 1st Jan 2008 about establishing Aspire Zone Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) was established by Emiri decree on 1st January 2008 to comprise three member organizations which are Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics.

In addition, a corporate office governs the overall mission and vision of the organization.

Growing significantly since its inception as The Sports City Project in 2003, AZF, the international sport destination was re-branded from Sport City to Aspire Zone in 2006.

This date is significant in AZF’s history as Aspire gained international recognition, being the centre of the 2006 Asian Games, hosting more than 200 events of heated competition over 15 days.

Qatar National Vision 2030 During the reign of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Amir, may Allah protect him, Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030 has been launched to serve as a clear roadmap for Qatar’s future.

AZF projects, initiatives and programs are committed to fulfil the promise of QNV 2030 pillars, especially where related to the sports sector.
